John Joseph, Founder
His background
John R. Joseph was born in Phoenix City, AL in 1946. His father was a Preacher. His mother was a praying woman. John graduated from South Girard High School in 1965. He served in the Army from 1966 to 1968. Mr. Joseph graduated from DeKalb Community College in 1974 and attended Georgia State University for three years. He resided in Atlanta until 1985, and several years later moved to Macon & Milledgeville, GA, where he worked as a Business Manager until October of 1993. In 1996, John moved to Detroit, MI and settled there. Nine years later, he founded Pine Hill Ministry on August 9, 2005 and has been serving the community through online Ministry ever since. Serving the Lord does not come without challenges, but even when there seems to be no way, God has never failed at helping to find a way. To God be the Glory!
His faith
Pine Hill Ministry was founded because of John's faith. personal conviction and belief in the Almighty God. It's not only as a direct result of his upbringing, John has his own personal faith and spirituality that he applies to his daily life. He also shares his sermons with others to purposely help save their lives, based on his experience and his deep spiritual journey with Christ. John knows that prayer is the most tool to use that brings about change. We teach our young black men to pray & how to pray. Prayer is Powerful!
Personal involvement
Pine Hill Ministry has a strong commitment in community outreach. Our main goal and priority is to reach our young black men who are ignored and many times overlooked because of mistakes they've made in the past or just because of the color of their skin. Everyone deserves a second chance and for someone to believe in them. That's where Pine Hill Ministry comes in. We not only reach out, our main objective is to reach in. Internal hurt and pain needs to be expressed. We're not here to judge, we're Here To Help.
